Alien in Beirut

"Give your daughters difficult names. Give your daughters names that command the full use of tongue. My name makes you want to tell me the truth. My name doesn’t allow me to trust anyone that cannot pronounce it right." Warsan Shire.

Resident of Beirut, citizen of Ireland, lover of animals, travel, cute places and the craic (having fun).

Jbeil Souks

The cobbled old souks of Jbeil are filled with souvenir and momento shops, making the stroll from castle to town come alive with colours of every kind. It is at once relaxing and fun to check out the quirky little bits for sale. We picked up a beautiful and very much embellished table cloth that perfectly captures my idea of orientalism style at its finest. P just smiled at my excitement and said “anything to make you happy”.
